Terms & Conditions: Rising Star International Book of World Records

General Rules

  1. Safety and Ethics: The Rising Star International Book of World Records does not promote, accept, or recognize attempts that could potentially lead to destruction, harm to property, health, morality, or the general well-being of any individual, organization, or society. Safety and ethical conduct are paramount in all record attempts.
  2. Approval Process: The approval or disapproval of any record attempt and the issuance of certification is entirely at the discretion of the Rising Star International Book of World Records team. All decisions are final and binding.
  3. Submission of Claims: We accept online registrations and claims for record attempts. However, to complete the certification process, the claimant must send all required documentation to the Rising Star International Book of World Records office.
  4. Verification Timeline: The record approval and certification process may take anywhere from 1 to 10 weeks, depending on the chosen processing option (instant recognition, fast processing, or normal processing).
  5. Witness Requirements: At least two witnesses must be present during the record attempt. All documents, including witness statements, must be signed by the witnesses and submitted with the claim.
  6. Adjudication: Rising Star team members are not required to be present at the record attempt. However, the authenticity of the record must be validated by having either adjudicators or witnesses at the attempt location.

Claiming a Record

  1. Submission Requirements: Record-claiming materials must be sent to the appropriate continental office of the Rising Star International Book of World Records. The submission should mention the Claim ID, Applicant’s Name, Address, and Contact Details.
  2. Required Documents: The following materials must be submitted:
    • Duly filled Record Application/Claim Form.
    • Photographs related to the record.
    • Video footage of the record attempt.
    • Media coverage, if available.
  3. Digital Evidence: Any digital evidence should be clearly labeled with the attempter’s name, the record attempted, address, and contact number.
  4. Witness Documentation: Complete details and signed statements from all witnesses must be included with the claim documents.
  5. Verification and Approval: The record approval and certification process may take 01 to 02 days. Failure to provide the required documents may result in the rejection of the record claim.
  6. Ownership of Submitted Materials: All materials and documents submitted to the Rising Star International Book of World Records become the property of the organization and will not be returned.
  7. Final Approval: The record will only be recognized and published after a thorough verification process is completed.

Inviting an Adjudicator

  1. Notification: The Rising Star team must be notified at least one month prior to the record attempt date if an adjudicator (Record Management Judge) is requested to be present.
  2. Travel and Accommodation: The travel and accommodation expenses for the adjudicator will be the responsibility of the record attempter, their organization, or sponsor(s), if applicable.
  3. On-the-Spot Certification: If the record attempt is successful, the adjudicator may issue an on-the-spot certification, subject to their complete satisfaction. Final approval depends on the adjudicator’s assessment.

Evidence Requirements

  1. Cover Letter: Provide a cover letter with all relevant information about your record attempt.
  2. Participant Details: Include detailed information about all recorded participants, along with their photographs and signatures.
  3. Witness Statements: Submit detailed statements from all witnesses, including their photographs and signatures.
  4. Video Footage: High-quality video footage of the record attempt is required.
  5. Photographs: High-resolution color photographs must be provided.
  6. Media Coverage: If available, include any audio, video, print, or electronic media coverage of the record attempt.

Category-Specific Rules

  • Biggest and Smallest: Records in this category involve objects (living or non-living) that are significantly larger or smaller than average. The object must be measurable and distinctive.
  • Plants and Animals: This category includes records for plants and animals with remarkable characteristics such as size, shape, or number.
  • Mass Record: A minimum of 150 participants is required for a mass record. The attempt must be conducted in a well-organized manner with proper documentation and witness statements.
  • Unique Record: The event or object must be one-of-a-kind to qualify. The claimant must provide proof of ownership and authenticity.
  • Collection: Collections must consist of more than 200 items, all of which should be in good condition and verifiable.
  • Endurance: The participant must demonstrate extraordinary stamina or resilience. A registered medical practitioner must be present during the attempt.
  • Young Achievers: This category is for participants under 18 years of age. Proof of age and parental/guardian consent are required.
  • Achievement & Initiatives: This category recognizes remarkable achievements or initiatives with social, regional, or organizational impact.
  • One Minute Miracle: The task must be completed within one minute, and the timing must be recorded using an accurate electronic stopwatch. Video and photographic evidence are mandatory.

These terms and conditions ensure that all records recognized by the Rising Star International Book of World Records are authentic, safe, and worthy of celebration. By participating, you agree to adhere to these guidelines and uphold the integrity of the record-keeping process.
